On February 24, Vladimir Regional Library for Children and the Youth held the X Interregional Research-to-Practice Conference "Dialogue-online", dedicated to the children and the youth Internet security.

The conference was held within the framework of the state program "Ensuring the information security of children, the production of information products for children and the circulation of information products in the Vladimir region." More than 280 people took part in the conference, which was held in a hybrid format. There were: Educators, librarians, psychologists, and students from Moscow, Saratov, Samara, Pskov, Nizhny Tagil, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Leningrad, Omsk, Tomsk, Orel, Saratov, Yaroslavl regions, Krasnodar, and Altai Krais.

Olga Yakovleva, Head of the project department of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, has also addressed the meeting. She presented the educational project "Study the Internet & Govern It!", aimed at improving the students’ digital literacy.

“Nowadays, the requirements for the development of digital literacy skills are made not only by the State in the light of the development of the digital economy but also by a quite aggressive digital environment. Both teachers and parents should put their best foot forward to ensure that the knowledge that children and adolescents receive will minimize the risks when children interact with the digital environment,” Olga noted.

"Study the Internet & Govern It!" is a social and educational project for students, implemented by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ  with the support of PJSC Rostelecom. The basis of the project is an educational portal that allows you to explore the possibilities and principles of the Internet in an accessible and funny way. A training mobile application will help to consolidate your knowledge.
