On September 18, Izhevsk hosted the UIC Dev conference for software developers, managers, analysts, designers and other IT professionals. The conference was held in a hybrid format with over 250 people taking part offline. A video broadcast was organized for online participants.

The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ was the event’s partner. Coordination Center’s project manager Yevgeny Pankov spoke at the Internet Security session.

He told the participants about the Coordination Center’s project Domain Patrol, a website whose subscribers can immediately report malicious websites, as well as to read news, advice, analytics and results of surveys on the security of the internet and the RU. and .РФ domains.

Yevgeny Pankov spoke in detail about various kinds of online scams and ways to counteract them, as well about interacting with competent organizations charged with recording violations on the internet.

Participants in the discussion exchanged ideas and experience, and answered the audience’s questions. In conclusion, Yevgeny Pankov held a quiz on the Explore the Internet & Govern It! game with prizes and presents from the Coordination Center.

The UIC Dev technology conference (the Udmurt Internet Conference), has been held since 2018. In 2020, it brought together over 200 people. The conference aims to bring together the Izhevsk IT community and promote the region’s technology brand among Russia’s IT experts.
